Role:Under general supervision, but following established policies and procedures, is responsible for supervision of Payroll staff, Payroll, HRIS, and Compensation. Provides support, reports, and analysis to leverage technology solutions to meet the needs of the P&C department and organization. Works with external/internal auditors to ensure compliance in payroll and benefits. Provides support to P&C team members and performs other duties as assigned by AVP of People and Culture and/or the Chief People Officer. All duties will be performed in accordance with The Apple Way principles, of Team Up, Serve with Purpose, Challenge Yourself and Own It and adherence to credit union policies and procedures and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act. Performs other general Human Resource duties as assigned by AVP of People and Culture and/or the Chief People Officer.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:Serves as the Payroll and HRIS subject matter expert. Develops and maintains internal procedures and controls to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to payroll and compensation.Reviews, manages and processes payroll along with the Payroll/HRIS Administrator on a biweekly basis for exempt and non-exempt staff. Maintains payroll data (earnings and deduction codes) and tax data (rates and jurisdictions).Administers the Credit Union's Compensation Program. Responsible for monthly bridge updates and completes comp-ratio analysis and internal equity reporting. Ensures compensation plans comply with federal and state regulations. Analyzes data on wages and salaries, evaluates the Credit Union's pay structure compared to industry and location.Supervises Payroll/HRIS staff, including training, coaching, assigning work and providing ongoing informal and formal performance feedback, to promote career development and ensure the delivery of positive internal member service to Credit Union staff members. Completes performance reviews on a timely basis.Writes, maintains, and supports a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Arranges data in spreadsheets to perform calculations, find percentages, and determine ratios. Analyzes and interprets statistics to provide overview of findings. Maintains HRIS codes and validation table information.Serves as liaison between the People and Culture department and various system programs (e.g. ADP, Cornerstone, Compease) to provide support and analysis and to leverage technology solutions to meet the needs of the P&C department and users of information systems throughout the organization.Performance Measurements:This position will be assessed against the following performance competencies:Make sure to apply with all the requested information, as laid out in the job overview below. This position will be assessed against annual goals.Knowledge and Skills:Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of Payroll and HRIS experience. One year of supervisory experience.Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.Interpersonal Skills: Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well as a team and independently.Other Skills: Knowledge of employment laws related to payroll, employee compensation including FLSA, ERISA and EEO. Strong organization skills and attention to detail. Project management or systems implementation experience preferred. ADP experience preferred.Physical Requirements: The ability to lift 25lbs and utilize standard office equipment including, but not limited to, PC, fax, copier, telephone, etc.Work Environment: Ability to function in a financial institution environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
