The Democratic Attorneys General Association provides political and policy support to Democratic State Attorneys General in their mission to protect citizens, promote progress, and support civil rights.A variety of soft skills and experience may be required for the following role Please ensure you check the overview below carefully.Title: Development Associate for Business Council PartnershipsCompany: Democratic Attorneys General Association, Inc.Location: Washington, DCReports To: Director for Business Council PartnershipsSalary Range: $50,000-$55,000Purpose:The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) seeks to hire an Associate for Business and Law Council Partnerships for the Development Department. The Associate role will assist existing development staff with primary fundraising responsibilities. This person will work closely with the Director of Business Council Partnerships and senior level members of the Development team to meet aggressive fundraising goals for the 2024, 2025 & 2026 election cycles. The ideal candidate will be professional, resourceful, results-oriented, and enthusiastic about providing critical support to the Development team and interfacing with DAGA partners.Primary Responsibilities:Support the Director on all aspects of the DAGA's Business and Law Council Partnership program including:Departmental administrative duties, including managing projections, tracking contributions, sending invoices, acknowledgement, updating department database and marketing materials.Build and manage a portfolio of Business and Law Council partners as determined by the Director.Draft targeted emails and newsletters for prospects and current partners.Carry out chase calls and emails to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual fundraising goals.Support the Events and Policy teams with administrative and logistical tasks relating to conferences and retreats.Create and proof call sheets, briefings and talking points for conferences, retreats and events.Manage event logistics for DAGA fundraising events, including managing venue selection, creating invitations, managing RSVPs, and coordinating day-of logistics.Create and execute Partner moves management and life cycle plans including partner outreach and stewardship and completing all necessary follow-up.Assist with Partner research, including identifying prospective donors, utilizing tools to identify best contact information, and completing introductory calls to Partners.Hire, train and manage department interns for administrative support tasks.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree.1 - 2 years of professional experience.Strong experience with NGP or another CRM preferred.Ability to function independently and in a team environment.Ability to meet deadlines.Strong decision-making and organizational skills.Event coordination experience.Experienced in donor research.Displays high standards of professional behavior.Extremely detail-oriented.Desire to build relationships with DAGA partners.Positive attitude, and a demonstrated capability to be flexible, adjust to changing priorities, and operate effectively in a fluid and fast-paced environment.Interest in furthering the mission of DAGA.Details:Willing to travel (25% of time).In DC or willing to relocate.Required work on some evenings and weekends for fundraising events.Application:To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter of interest for the position below.Closing:DAGA's office is open 9 AM - 6 PM Eastern, but extended and nontraditional work hours are required.DAGA offices are in downtown DC with three days a week required in the office, two days a week work from home.DAGA offers a generous benefits package that includes fully paid health, dental, vision, short term, long term, and life insurance policies, pretax spending accounts, monthly remote work stipend, or monthly transit benefit.DAGA values a truly diverse workforce and is committed to a culture of inclusivity, respect, and integrity.We strongly encourage people with disabilities, people of color, transgender and non-binary people, and people from diverse backgrounds to apply.DAGA is an equal opportunity employer and it is our policy to recruit, hire, train, promote and administer any and all personnel actions based on business needs, job requirements, and individual qualifications without regard to race; color; religion; national origin; sex; age; marital status; personal appearance; sexual orientation; gender identity or expression; family responsibilities; disability; matriculation; genetic information; credit information; status as a victim or family member of a victim of domestic violence, a sexual offense, or stalking.
