Job DescriptionAgilent Technologies is seeking a talented, creative, and dedicated analytical Post-Doc to support the LC/MS technical sales team on demos and special projects!Find out more about this role by reading the information below, then apply to be considered.This post-doctorate opportunity requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week and is an exempt role. The selected candidates will have the option to work onsite in either Santa Clara, CA, or the Lexington, MA office, with some opportunity for remote work. The position is initially for 1 year with the possibility of extending to 2 years.Primary responsibility includes:Method development, database building and workflow testing for either TQ or QTOF platforms.Preparing and managing standard libraries.Testing and optimizing methods independently, analyzing data, and drawing conclusions from those results.Writing up project work in PowerPoint and Word documents for internal and external presentations.You will work in a premier demo lab filled with state-of-the-art LC/MS equipment. Under the mentorship of senior scientists, you will learn a broad range of LC/MS applications and workflows. This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment willing to teach early career scientists LC/MS applications and sales.QualificationsPhD in relevant technical discipline received from an accredited college or university.Graduated within the last 2 years or currently is part of a college or university postdoc program, and has not worked in industry after having graduated with a PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, or related discipline with LC/MS experience.Must be detail-oriented and have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.Experience developing and optimizing new LC/MS methods and databases for various applied markets or applications.Experience with tuning and operating triple quadrupole or quadrupole time of flight mass spectrometers and analyzing complex data.Entails the ability for a hands-on attitude in developing and troubleshooting own work. Takes initiative to move a project forward and seek out help from team members when needed.Ability to present results in sales presentations, technical meetings, and/or publish.Desired Qualifications:Previous experience operating Agilent mass spectrometers and MassHunter software tools is a plus.Experience in specific application areas such as extractable and leachable, bio/pharma, food, environmental and/or Omics research.The US pay rate for this position is $50.88-$67.57 per hour, plus eligibility for paid holidays and medical benefits. Our pay rates are determined by role, level and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum intern pay for the position across the relevant US location(s). Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including any job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training.
