Join us as we expand our product offering and take the next steps on our journey toward bringing the "backbone of our economy" into the automation age.Your RoleThis is an opportunity for a senior systems engineer to play a crucial role in both the development of Aperia's next generation products and the maturation of our existing products to perform at even larger scale. You will work in a high-communication environment as part of a team of empowered engineers who have passion for the products they work on and care about their end users. Since we are still a small organization, your contributions will have a big impact on the product, our company, and our customers.Your ResponsibilitiesAct as the key interface between mechanical, electrical, firmware, and cloud/mobile software subsystems, ensuring compatibility of sub-team designs and leading integration and testing at the system level.Deeply analyze and resolve problems at the interfaces of disciplines that others may struggle with, such as subtle materials issues or reliability concerns with non-linear control systems, while mining key insights from extensive field data.Define and manage detailed user tests to validate that the systems meet user requirements and integration tests to confirm that individual subsystems work together seamlessly.Develop and understand key end-user workflows to ensure optimization of system performance, usability, and reliability.Support systems reliability testing, ensuring it is conducted under realistic conditions, early identification of potential failure modes, and compliance with reliability requirements to quickly diagnose and resolve issues.Regularly own critical systems-level documents such as requirements, FMEA, and DVP&R, ensuring the system's integrity, safety, and compliance throughout its lifecycle.Skills/QualificationsMaster's or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical, or other relevant engineering or scientific discipline.Minimum 10 years of experience in systems engineering within complex product lines involving connected electromechanical hardware and software.Proven track record of solving complex or subtle systems-level problems.Experience with formal product development and release to manufacturing over the full product lifecycle.Experience in the Internet of Things (IoT) space, wireless products, and/or automotive products is a plus.Hands-on experience in the lab, integrating prototypes, and comfortable/capable with a wide range of electrical and mechanical test equipment.Design of test fixtures and/or LabVIEW skills are a plus.Demonstrated success working in hybrid/remote, highly collaborative environments.Self-motivated, proactive, independent, curious, and driven to learn and improve.Strong data and quantitative skills.Pay Range: $180,000 - $200,000Base salary only. Salary dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.Additional compensation may include equity, bonuses, stipends, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and long-term disability insurance.#J-18808-Ljbffr
