Our department is in the Institute for Basic Biomedical Sciences, which unites 9 departments dedicated to fundamental research at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. We are looking for a candidate who will complement our faculty working on mechanistic approaches to fundamental problems in biology.We offer an inclusive, supporting, and collaborative environment with active mentoring, generous start-up packages, and access to state of the art technology. We are primarily seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor position. However, outstanding candidates at other levels will also be considered.QualificationsPlease submit the following materials to Interfolio:Curriculum vitae (links to BioRxiv manuscripts are welcome).Philosophy, relevant personal experiences, past contributions, and future plans for your role as a mentor, teacher, and colleague (one page).Research Vision - One paragraph (up to 350 words) summarizing the guiding vision for your future research program.Research Program (3-5 pages).Two (2) most significant publications including a short statement (100-150 words) for each, describing significance and impact.Additionally, please arrange to have 3 confidential letters of recommendation uploaded to Interfolio by your referees.Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis starting September 15, 2024.
