The Human Resources Director originates and leads Human Resource practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, commitment to customer service, commitment to excellence and quality, follow through, adherence to productivity standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. The Human Resources Director coordinates implementation of services, policies, and programs. Reports to the CEO and serves on the executive management team. Assists and advises company managers about Human Resource issues.EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business, and Organization Development.Five (5) plus years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resource positions.Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventative labor relations preferred.Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resource networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement preferred.Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, and training and development.Above average oral and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.Demonstrates ability to lead and develop Human Resource staff members.Demonstrates ability to serve as a successful participant on the executive management team that provides company leadership and direction.Demonstrates ability to interact effectively with the company Board of Directors.Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Excel and skills in database management and record keeping.General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resource programs.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Works with SWLA Managers and the approved budget to recruit and hire Center staff.Works with the managers to anticipate staffing needs.Works with managers to provide constructive feedback to employees concerning job performance.Develops a proper orientation program for each department in collaboration with the Senior Manager and in conjunction with JACHO, NCQA, HRSA, and other regulatory standards.Develops a continuing education and training program for each department in collaboration with the Senior Manager and in conjunction with JACHO, NCQA, HRSA, and other regulatory standards.Works with SWLA Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Health Officer (CHO) and the approved budget to recruit and hire clinical staff in the medical, dental, mental health, and nursing departments.Works with Chief Health Officer and Chief Executive Officer to anticipate staffing needs.Works with CHO to provide constructive feedback to providers and nursing staff concerning job performance and productivity requirements.Develops an orientation program for providers and nursing personnel and other clinical support personnel in collaboration with the Senior Manager and in conjunction with JACHO, NCQA, HRSA, and other regulatory standards.Consults with Physicians and other health care givers to provide complete care to the patients and performs other duties in the total plan to provide primary care to the patients.Attends all meetings as requested by CEO.Assumes additional duties when necessary and works overtime as requested.Initiates and participates in problem solving, policy forming, and conferences for patient care services. Maintains close coordination with all departments to ensure continuity and collaboration of services.SWLA is mandated to provide medical assistance to evacuees during disasters.
