You role model the Indigo Beliefs by being authentic, seeking inspiration and knowing your audience, and you influence your customers through the stories you tell; connecting them to our brand.WHAT YOU'LL DOBe the brand ambassador in our luxury, specialty book shopAct as the point of contact for corporate and gifting sales in addition to sourcing new opportunitiesCreate a warm and welcoming environment in our storeAttend product training sessions monthly and quarterlyTrain other staff members on ASSOULINE product knowledgeProcess transactions for sales, returns and exchanges within the shopInteract with designers, decorators and other home decor customers and provide suggestions to curate a collection of offerings for potential clientsProvide input to buying team on assortmentAttend book fairs and other off-site sales opportunitiesQualifications:Experience in specialty retail or a retail service role, luxury experience highly desired, previous experience in home design or interior decorating a plusKnowledge of specialty books or print business is highly preferred but not requiredPreferred candidates will have 2-3 years of sales experience in a one-on-one retail environmentAdaptability, flexibility and a willingness to learn new things and be exposed to all aspects of the storeDemonstrated commitment to creating an exceptional employee and customer experienceAbility to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of timeAbility to lift medium to large items, up to 40 pounds, while using appropriate equipment and safety techniquesMust be available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, late nights and early morningsThis position requires candidates be available during peak holiday times to meet the needs of our customersAdditional InformationAt Indigo, we are committed to our communities, our customers, and each other; together we can make a positive impact.
