Job SummaryA variety of soft skills and experience may be required for the following role Please ensure you check the overview below carefully.The Activities Director plays a crucial role in planning and coordinating recreational programs and activities for residents in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or long-term care settings. You will be responsible for enhancing the quality of life and well-being of residents through engaging and stimulating activities.How you will make an impact:Develop and implement a diverse range of activities to cater to the physical, mental, emotional, and social needs of residents.Coordinate events, outings, and programs that promote socialization and interaction among residents.Collaborate with staff members to integrate activities into individual care plans.Assess residents' interests and abilities to tailor activities accordingly.Ensure activities comply with regulations and enhance the overall resident experience.Maintain accurate records of activity participation and resident feedback.What you need:High School or equivalent required.A Bachelor's Degree is preferred; however, in lieu of this, two years of experience in a social or recreational program for elders or the disabled is acceptable.Knowledge or experience working with residents with Alzheimer's Disease and/or related dementia is highly desirable.One year of experience supervising others, including coaching, motivating, and promoting collaboration.And if you also have:Previous experience in event planning, particularly in a nursing home, assisted living, or long-term care environment.Knowledge of caregiving practices and understanding of senior care needs.Familiarity with dementia care principles and recreational therapy techniques.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a home community care setting.This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of seniors by providing engaging and fulfilling activities that contribute to their overall well-being.* Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.Job Type: Full-timePay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWeekends as neededExperience:Nursing home experience: 1 year (Required)License/Certification:Driver's License (Required)Ability to Relocate:North Palm Beach, FL 33408: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
