Accounting SupervisorOur client, a financial services firm, is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join their Corporate Controller team. This role involves leading and overseeing the AP team in completing day-to-day operations of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and other general ledger activities. The successful candidate will work closely with various levels of management and contribute to the financial and operational efficiency of the firm. This position requires being in the office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop the AP team in multiple aspects of accounting and reporting, ensuring financial statement transactions are complete, accurate, and in accordance with internal control procedures and related accounting standards.Execute strategic initiatives affecting the AP team and business stakeholders.Ensure accurate and compliant financial statement reporting, relied upon by various teams such as Tax, Fund Accounting, and Financial Planning.Assume full ownership and accountability for the AP team, identifying where processes can be modified or created to support a strong internal control environment.Your ContributionsAccounts Payable (AP): Full ownership of the Corporate AP function, including managing daily operations, vendor relationships, and supporting tax-related reporting.Accounts Receivable (AR): Full ownership of Corporate AR operations, including invoice creation, cash application, and reconciliation.Other General Ledger Responsibilities: Manage key portions of the Balance Sheet, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate on financial reporting processes.Key ProficienciesBachelor's degree in accounting and five years of related experience preferred.CPA certification desired.Ability to exercise independent judgment and propose solutions.Professional and ethical handling of confidential information.Flexibility in work style to meet task demands.Experience with industry/investment/multi-entity corporate accounting structures.Exposure to Sage Intacct, SharePoint, BILL, and other ERP systems.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Who You'll Work WithA close-knit Corporate Controller team of nine individuals with diverse knowledge and expertise.A team built on trust and open communication, comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.Work that is leveraged by many other teams, including Senior Management through Executive-Level Corporate Reporting.Compensation:Apply promptly!
