The business has grown 10x since 2015.As the Director of Product Design and User Experience, you will lead the design, development and growth of our self-serve Ad Platform. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams, external partners and customers to identify opportunities to monetize Samsung's unique positioning, data and media assets through seamless Ad buying experiences.Role and ResponsibilitiesLead a team of product designers, UX researchers, and creative technologists in a fast-paced, high growth, dynamic, agile environmentManage technical product and design projects from concept to launchManaging competing priorities, assess risks, measure progress, and provide escalation management to mitigate bottlenecks and ensure project success.Act as a liaison between leadership and organization to foster innovationCollaborate with cross functional leadsHave a specific and clear vision for a high performing, best-in-class Product Design and UX Research team, build the function to that vision, and continuously improveDrive collaboration and innovation, empowering the team to do their best work through coaching and mentorshipBe opinionated and provide hands-on guidance and direction, while ensuring the teams are able to also identify opportunities and independently creativeOversee concept development, from ideation to execution, aligning with HQ and other cross-functional prioritiesPromote excellent design at Samsung and new ways of innovating to set the bar highChampion our mission at the executive levels of the organizationRoutinely deliver significant business impact to our internal and external customersBackground/Experience Required:Bachelor's degree in design, HCI or equivalent with 10-15+ years' experience5+ years' experience in leading and managing medium to large-sized multi-disciplinary UX teamsB2B advertising software experience requiredDemonstrated experience in building and maintaining successful, influential working relationships at all levels of an organizationExperience managing remote and distributed teamsComfortable with ambiguity and pivoting when neededDemonstrated experience driving change, being open to new possibilities, and focusing on business impactDemonstrated a history of balancing business requirements, technological capabilities, and user insights to deliver great productsDemonstrated history of ensuring highly collaborative and iterative solution design across functions during product developmentSolid understanding of existing and emerging technologies, their boundaries, and how they apply in the context of consumer productsExcellent presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and generate enthusiasm among senior stakeholdersSalary RangeFor candidates in Mountain View, CA and New York, NY- the salary range for this role is expected to be between $220,000 to $240,000.
