Labor Relations ManagerLocation: Southern California (REMOTE)The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.Travel: Travel on an occasional basis with some overnight stays. Must have reliable transportation and be available for unplanned travel.Company Overview: Blackstone Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Labor Relations Manager in Northern and Southern California.The Labor Relations Manager is responsible for managing labor relations between the company and its hourly and salaried unionized employees. This includes overseeing negotiations, grievances, and arbitrations. The Manager will also develop and maintain positive relationships with the Union Representatives while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws. The Manager will be required to review labor agreements and modify them as needed while providing advice and guidance to management and labor. This position requires excellent communication and organization skills, as well as strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Labor Relations Manager Duties:Plan, direct, and coordinate labor relations programs and policies.Negotiate collective bargaining agreements with labor unions.Advise Management on labor laws and collective bargaining issues.Develop labor relations policies and procedures.Develop and implement mediation and arbitration programs.Analyze and interpret labor contracts.Assist in the administration of employee benefit plans.Investigate and resolve labor disputes.Analyze wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plans.Monitor labor relations regulations and legislation.Represent management in labor negotiations.Evaluate and implement programs to improve employee relations.Labor Relations Manager Skills:Excellent Communication and interpersonal skillsUnderstanding of labor laws and regulationsExperience in contract negotiations and administrationKnowledge of labor relations principlesLabor Relations Manager Requirements:Ensure Compliance with labor laws and regulationsNegotiate labor agreements and resolve grievancesOversee the implementation of labor contractsDevelop and maintain positive labor relationsProvide direction, guidance, and training to staff on labor relations issuesAbility to handle multiple projects and competing prioritiesAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of labor laws and collective bargaining agreementsMinimum Qualifications at Entry:Be 18 years of age and possess an Associate's DegreeHave a reliable and functional means of communication (i.e., cell phone)The legal right to work in the United StatesPossess a valid government-issued driver's license or state-issued I.D.Successfully pass the client's pre-employment screening process (Drug Test, Health Screen, Criminal)Company Benefits:Medical Insurance: The Kaiser HMO plan has a $0 annual deductible & an out-of-pocket max of $1,500/$3,000 (CA Kaiser Medical Plan) with a co-pay of $10 Primary Doctor and $10 for Specialist per visit.Vision Insurance: Vision care plan option through Guardian for employees and eligible dependents.Dental Insurance: PPO dental plan option through Guardian for employees and eligible dependents.Retirement & 401(k): Retirement benefits are available for purchase through Empower.
