The Executive Director has the responsibility for planning, budgeting, scheduling, staffing, curriculum, instruction, program and instructional quality, student success, accreditation, and other matters related to the operations of the School of Nursing. ACADEMIC EXPERENCE Minimum of five (5) years' experience as an academic administrator (such as nursing program director, assistant director or department chair) with validated performance of administrative responsibilities consistent with having the authority and responsibility to coordinate and direct all activities in developing, implementing, and managing an academic nursing program, including its fiscal planning. 5 years of progressive leadership of nursing education in an accredited college or university (7) years of experience teaching in pre-or post-licensure registered nursing programs. 5 years of experience working across multiple levels and departments of a complex organization INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE Industry experience in Nursing/ Healthcare field Have five (5) year's continuous, full-time or its equivalent experience in direct patient care as a registered nurse, as determined by the Board of Registered Nursing. LICENSE TO PRACTICE Hold and maintain a Tennessee state license as a Registered Nurse by the date of hire. Must hold/obtain and maintain the necessary Tennessee licenses, certificates, etc., as needed for external agency(ies) accreditation. Current, unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Tennessee ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS Doctorate degree in nursing or a related field Coursework and experience that demonstrates preparation in education that includes teaching adults, adult learning theory, teaching methods, curriculum development, and/or curriculum evaluation Coursework and experience that demonstrates understanding of curriculum development and effective academic program administration.
