This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a fast-moving team and learn more about general accounting principles and our industry.How your role contributes to the success of Vivid Seats:Ensures seamless transactions between buyers and sellers through our marketplace.Supports the accounting team in day-to-day processes.Assists vendors and employees with timely payment of company expenses.Maintains accurate and timely records that impact financial statements and reporting.How your role expectations will progress as an Accounting Coordinator in the first 30, 90, and 180 days:30 days inComplete new hire orientation, gaining the resources you need to be successful.Learn how ticket marketplaces operate and how you'll contribute to providing great experiences for our customers.Acclimate to team and company norms, business objectives, and Vivid Seats values.Reconcile banking activity to ensure proper recording of transactions.Understand the accounting structure for many aspects of our business.90 days inContribute to our approaches, methods, or technologies to support overall business goals and drive team efficiency.Maintain, develop and aid internal and external relationships to achieve progress and advance objectives.Collaborate with various levels of the accounting team to assist in daily tasks.Create daily journal entries to record large volumes of transactions.Assist with accounts payable for vendor payments, employee reimbursements and proper categorization of employee credit card expenses.180 days inApply methods to execute individual tasks that positively impact the team.Play an active role in continued learning to advance skill sets necessary for team goals.Assist in providing audit support as needed.Complete account reconciliations that impact our month-end close.What You'll Bring:Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detailAbility to manage multiple tasks at the same timeEagerness to learn, and then own, new responsibilitiesAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook), particularly ExcelVivid Seats provides competitive compensation; bonus incentives and equity for all employees; FLEX PTO; mental health days; medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401K matching; monthly credits and discounts for attending live events; remote work and snack allowances; and a variety of additional workplace perks.Location: Chicago, ILWe believe in a hybrid working model which provides employees the flexibility to take advantage of in-person and remote collaboration.
