We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves"”one that behaves like a doctor in the family.About the roleYou will support our teams in driving a best-in-class, service-focused operation by designing, guiding and assessing the effectiveness of the use of operational frameworks and ideologies.You will report to the Director, Operational Excellence.Work Location:This is a hybrid role in our Tempe, Arizona office. You will work part of the time in the office and part of the time remote/work-from-home. #LI-HybridPay Transparency:The base pay for this role is: $118,080 - $154,980 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain the critical skills necessary to support a best-in-class lean operation while influencing future business decisionsAnticipate, overcome, and prevent recurrence of complex problems and roadblocks in an efficient and effective mannerCreate routines that drive cross-functional collaboration within and outside of the departmentEstablish a vision of clarity and ensure stability and scalability within the direct area of influenceDemonstrate the proper approach with the implementation of Continuous Improvement Tools both internal to the organization and aligned to industry standards and best practicesDevelopment and implementation of core metric tracking and tool utilization present in a LEAN-based operational environmentDrive Lean operational and cultural transformation within a production operations space, consulting and guiding leaders towards a growth and continuous improvement mindsetProvide effective direction, mentorship, and influence regarding the necessity of process improvement workDevelop and maintain appropriate bench strength and develop organizational talent through clear goals and healthy accountabilityDemonstrate substantial levels of resilience and adaptability in a place of ambiguityCompliance with all applicable laws and regulationsOther duties as assignedQualifications6+ years of experience coaching, developing, managing and scaling large teams5+ years of experience using data and metrics to drive process and program improvements4+ years of experience working in a collaborative environment with a diverse set of people4+ years of experience implementing operational excellence- LEAN, Six Sigma, or other improvement methodsBonus pointsExperience working with teams in multiple locations and within multiple disciplinesPrior healthcare or health insurance-related experienceExperience with facilitating, presenting to, and training senior-level leadersExperience leading change managementAdvanced Google Suite or Microsoft Office capabilitiesTotal Quality Management System experience or ASQ CertificateBachelor's DegreeOperational Excellence Certification (Lean Six Sigma)#J-18808-Ljbffr
