We believe "Education is the Answer" to transforming lives and communities.We support American Indian and Alaska Native students in several ways: college scholarships, programs to expand their awareness of and access to higher education, and, once they get to college, the tools and support to help them succeed.Faculty are essential to the success of Native students, as well as to the growth and sustainability of TCUs. This position provides critical support for faculty success. Since 2004, we have offered faculty-focused programming including several graduate fellowships and professional development opportunities.Position SummaryThe Program Coordinator for Faculty Development will work closely with the Program Officer for Faculty Development to support nearly 1,700 faculty in their multifaceted roles. The Program Coordinator will concentrate their work in three areas: coordinating logistics of the annual faculty convening, administration of a new professional development grant program, and administration of the fellowship program.Essential Position Functions and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the logistics of the annual faculty convening (35%)Manage master registration list and coordinate lodging of presenters and attendees; answer questions from presenters and attendees about conveningWork with Program Officer and planning committee to create a logistics planCommunicate closely with conference hotel on rooming list, food and beverage orders, and ensure accuracy of banquet event orders (BEOs)Work with travel agency on presenters' flightsPlan and execute important conference details such as creating name badges, printing agenda and handouts, managing the registration table, and logistics for cultural excursionsManage presenter travel reimbursements and vendor payments after conveningWork with video editor after convening to develop videos for posting on our websiteWork with College Fund web administrator to post resources from convening on our websiteCoordinate the implementation of a new faculty professional grant program to TCUs (25%)Help develop and execute the grant application, award, and disbursement processesCommunicate with TCU administrators and staff about the application processHelp develop and administer a monitoring system to ensure proper spending of grant fundsCommunicate regularly with the Program Officer and College Fund leadership on the status of the grant program.Coordinate the administration of faculty fellowship programs (25%)Provide technical assistance to applicantsUpdate the College Fund faculty webpages and external application portal regularlyEnsure applications are complete before sending to reviewersMaintain multiple fellowship tracking spreadsheetsBuild relationships with fellowship recipients and ensure they have the support they need to be successfulProvide other support to reach faculty development programming goals (15%)Work with Faculty Development Program Officer on other faculty success programsCreate monthly summaries of faculty development program outcomes/dataEngage with Research team to further the College Fund's goalsPosition RequirementsHighly organized with strong attention to detailKnowledge of higher education faculty rolesKnowledge of meeting planningDemonstrated ability to create effective tracking systemsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office programsKnowledge of grant budget managementInitiative to create and test new processesAbility to meet deadlines and grant deliverablesExcellent communication skillsUnderstanding of the requirements to obtain a master's and doctoral degreeRequired Education and ExperienceBachelor's DegreeExperience working directly with culturally diverse groupsExperience working in a nonprofit or higher educationExperience planning eventsPreferred Education and ExperienceExperience working with Native Americans and/or tribal colleges2 years of experience coordinating grants2 years of experience planning multi-day conferencesProfessional office settingTravel up to 15% of timePhysical ActivitiesFrequent keyboarding and viewing computer screenOccasional standing, bending, reachingLifting to 35 poundsPriority Deadline: Position will remain open until filled but priority will be given to candidates that apply before September 30th, 2024.The Denver Post Names American Indian College Fund a Winner of the Colorado Top Workplaces 2023 Award for Fifth Year in a Row.Why Work Here?The American Indian College Fund is a top-ranked national charity making a difference in Native peoples' lives and communities.Diversity and Inclusion commentsThis is the most inspiring work to me because Native people at the College Fund are spearheading these programs.I like that we incorporate Indigenous perspectives in how we treat each other.I get a strong sense of mutual respect and inclusion from all staff members at the College Fund.The American Indian College Fund is an Equal Employment Opportunity EmployerThe American Indian College Fund is dedicated to the principles of equal employment opportunity in any term, condition, or privilege of employment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
