As an independent contractor, you will not be classified as a W2 employee. You will be responsible for managing your own taxes and benefits. Keeping up with the technological innovations and market trends in our industry makes every day working here an adventure.Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing a keen eye for design, concepts, and an understanding of the latest design trends. As a Designer at Rocket55, you will be responsible for design and content for websites, social media, ad creative and more - focusing on the in-house Rocket55 brand. This is a role for an ambitious junior or entry-level generalist who can help evolve our Rocket55 brand into a memorable, distinct and magnetic identity. You will be designing for a wide variety of platforms and audiences, including assets that can be utilized by non-designers.The Ideal candidate will have strong concepting skills, be organized, self-motivated and collaborative. There is room for growth and development for the right candidate as we continue to strengthen our design and creative muscles as an agency.ResponsibilitiesDesign for Rocket55 in accordance with brand identity and to help achieve business goals.Collaborate and participate actively in brainstorming sessions to contribute creative concepts, ideas and visuals.Evolve and maintain design guidelines for Rocket55, including iconography, image selection and guardrails for use across platforms, including AI.Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.Collaborate with writers, strategists and other designers to ensure a seamless and cohesive user experience across all digital platforms.Conduct design reviews and gather feedback from stakeholders to refine and improve designs.RequirementsRequired Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Art or a related field.Strong portfolio showcasing design skills and creativity.Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Sketch, Figma, or similar software.Understanding of marketing landscape and strategy.Solid understanding of website design, UX principles and creating files that are prepared for website development.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and front-end development principles is a plus but not required.Video and photography creation and/or editing is a big plus, but not required.Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Commitment To InclusionRocket55 is an equal opportunity employer and is dedicated to creating an inclusive work environment void of harassment and discrimination.
