Job DescriptionWhile professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.The Area Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for providing support and guidance to Unitek campuses by working closely with Managers, Employees, and Corporate Human Resources to solve problems, manage employee relations, deploy all HR programs, policies, and serve as the HR ambassador for assigned locations.Please note: this position must work the hours of 8:30am-5:30pm PST with the flexibility to work some evenings.Preferred Location: California, Bay areaThe position's key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Consult with leadership and provide HR guidance.Understand employee concerns/issues and facilitate resolution through various HR activities, training, and legal guidance.Lead and conduct investigations while working in partnership with Corporate HR and various departments to bring employee concerns to conclusion.Provide guidance/coaching to Managers in handling employee relations and assist with leadership development.Plan/develop/facilitate leadership training.Responsible for ADA Accommodations/LOA's.Support/develop/implement HR projects.Complete exit interviews for offboarding.Identify and implement organizational effectiveness initiatives that enhance performance, productivity, and reduce cost while striving to maintain employee engagement.Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.Conduct offboarding interviews for area and analyze action plan as appropriate.Ensure effective communication of HR products, services, and programs (e.g., benefits, orientation, training, and development initiatives, etc.)Identify issues/problems that are impacting each campus and work with internal partners in their resolution.Maintain accurate and up-to-date documents, files, and records in both electronic format and hard copy in compliance with established guidelines.Perform other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the Human Resources Department.Salary: $85k - $90kQualifications:BS degree in Human Resources or related field.A minimum of 5 years' experience working in the HR field with excellent employee relations knowledge.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.Takes ownership of job responsibilities with personal pride and accountability.Experience with multi-state labor laws.Knowledge of labor legislation.Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices.Experience with ADA Accommodations/LOA's/FMLA.Highly organized, with the ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Excellent communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Ability to work independently, within prescribed guidelines, or as a team member.We Offer:Medical, Dental and Vision starting the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment.2 Weeks' starting Vacation per year.
