Up To Date Laundry is one of the largest commercial laundries on the East Coast servicing hospitals and other healthcare facilities in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, D.C., and Virginia. We provide a full service to our customers from pickup to delivery. Our dedicated staff of laundry associates, drivers and maintenance technicians, and administrative and management teams ensure the delivery of hygienically clean laundry year-round.Make your application after reading the following skill and qualification requirements for this position.We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our dynamic Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong analytical skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and in-depth knowledge of HR standard practices. Union experience is a plus. Bilingual candidates preferred.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFunctional areas include, but are not limited to:Talent acquisitionEmployee engagement and retentionCompliance and ReportingEmployee and labor relationsCompensation and benefits administrationTraining and Development AdministrationQUALIFICATIONSExperience:3-5 years of HR generalist experience.Education, Certifications & Licenses:Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.Required Skills & Abilities:Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.Must have good judgement and the ability to analyze and problem-solve.Must have an elevated level of adaptability and a high tolerance for ambiguity.Must have good organizational skills and attention to detail plus the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus web-based information research and retrieval.Requires a consistent on-site schedule and occasional after-hours support as needed.Desired QualificationsaPHR, PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.Experience in production, manufacturing, and/or warehouse environments.Bilingual in English and Spanish (read, write, speak, translate, and interpret) preferred.Physical Demands of the Human Resources Manager Position:To successfully perform the Human Resources Manager position, the person must perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily.
