The Internal Auditor & Credit Reviewer provides independent internal audit and loan review activities for the Association by evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management practices, internal controls, and governance processes. This role is key in protecting the organization from methods or activities that could put the organization at unacceptable risk. The salary range for this position is $55,000- $91,000, however salary is commensurate with experience.Preferred office location is at our Central Office in Jefferson City, MO. However, we are open to other FCS office locations within Missouri for the right talent.A combination of a Hybrid- in office work arrangement and flexible work schedule will be considered after the initial training period is complete and based off of the candidates' qualifications and needs.This position is classified as Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.This position is open until filled.Department: Risk Management Reports To: Vice President, Internal Audit & Review Supervises: NoneResponsibilities/DutiesJob Functions*PercentageJob Functions 15%Internal AuditPerforms operational audits of areas of the association as defined by the audit planAudits for compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirementsCoordinates information for outside audit and examination groups as assigned; provides explanatory information, responds to questions and performs additional follow-up as necessaryDraws independent conclusions regarding the effectiveness of organizational controls and documents accordingly within audit work papers80%Internal Credit ReviewProvides input regarding loan review samplesEvaluates risk identification and credit administration against policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsIdentifies and documents deficienciesInputs data and information to capture resultsPerforms branch visits to build rapport with staff5%Reporting and Follow-UpProvides input regarding audit reports and participates in exit discussions.Participates in corrective action follow-up and validationn/aOther duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization.Required SkillsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the jobRequired Knowledge and SkillsGeneral knowledge of internal audit principles and practicesGeneral knowledge in credit extension and administrationGeneral knowledge of universal credit classification definitionsGeneral knowledge of the agriculture industrySkill in using Microsoft Products to increase efficiency and/or effectivenessSkill in collecting and analyzing dataSkill in effective communications, both verbal and writtenSkill in priority setting and organizationHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to tactfully deal with othersAbility to work proficiently within deadlinesAbility to work independently and assume ownership of responsible areasResponsible to appropriately protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the Association's systems and data and clients' data Preferred ExperienceMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, accounting, agricultural economics, computer science or a related field1 year of related experienceOr an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
