Nature of the positionManagement position involved in the coordination of retail fronts in market under the direction of the Area ManagerMain missions and purposes of the position- Provides a conduit for communication between retail fronts in-market and the Area Manager.- Coordinates logistics for the regional program; Maintains communication; Executes and orchestrates visual merchandising; Works with Leadership on events and activations; Plans events and executes events.Missions and activitiesMISSION: Develops and maintains communication with Area Manager:- Provides program progress, challenges, and achievements relating to in-market retail fronts.- Conducts monthly meetings with direct reports.MISSION: Works with Area Manager to develop a strategic plan for retail fronts in market, setting clear goals and establishing a roadmap for its implementation:- Coordinates with various stakeholders and allocates necessary resources for program implementation at the retail site level.- Works with HR (Human Resources) and BMG Director of Safety and Compliance to ensure safe and reliable execution.- Implements and supports safety and security protocols.- Collaborates with other BMG staff to ensure quality placement of assets and pricing at retail fronts include.- Supports leadership in fostering local relationships and provides networking leads.- Sources event locations on behalf of leadership, makes introductions, and closes out opportunities.MISSION: Oversees the execution of program activities:- Ensures that program activities align with the established objectives and timelines.- Operates within Company guidelines such as job descriptions, staff culture, values and code of conduct, and staff recruitment.- Supports Company Standard Operating Procedures and Retail Operations Guidebook.- Manages warehouse operations and attends to immediate and future program needs.- Visits market sites regularly to evaluate access, feasibility, power requirements, etc.- Supports and monitors implementation of Company's Workforce Management Tools - Reports technology issues on time.- Manages in-market BMG fleet including all trailers, containers, trucks, and support equipment.- Collaborates with BMG Director of Safety and Compliance to ensure all assets are inspected, maintained, and ready for activation.- Oversees in-market risk assessments at each activation location.- Acts as a responsive lead for security and safety issues that may arise with connection to leadership.- Performs oversight of in-market fleet maintenance program including preventative maintenance protocols, with direct communication to BMG Director of Operations.- Completes pre-trip and post-trip paperwork.- Records mileage logs.- Attaches and detaches trailer.- Loads and unloads necessary equipment- Makes necessary repairs and maintenance when needed.- Fuels the truck or tractor and generator(s).- Is engaging, friendly, and professional when meeting with visitors at event activation.- Works well with all Program Group employees and program.- Works as part of a team and is willing to follow directions from others and apply them to assigned tasks.- Keeps event activation area neat while working and returns items to correct storage locations.- Transports, assembles, and disassembles materials used in presentations.MISSION: Transport truck and trailer to locations within the market territory and, from time to time, beyond.- Assists in the safe and efficient set-up of the activation, provides leadership on activation days, and assists in tear-down of all elements (including electrical and audio) associated with the interior and exterior of the display trailers.- Ensures the safety of the driver, passenger(s), truck, trailer, and any other assets.- Complies with all federal, state, and local transportation laws, rules, and regulations.- Transports truck or truck and trailer to locations within the market territory and, from time to time, beyond.- Checks vehicle(s) to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working condition. Conveys needed equipment maintenance to supervisor.- Inspects load(s) to ensure cargo is secure for transport utilizing items such as straps, ropes, blocks, chains, binders, covers, and other miscellaneous tie-down equipment as needed.- Maintains open communication lines among Team Leaders and Event & Logistics Coordinator.- Follows policies, procedures, and safety guidelines for program assets and staff.- Researches event location(s), plan for parking and area of event activation, and ensure safe ingress and egress for site location.- Actively participates in scheduled event(s) as required.- Directs communication with Area Manager on program status (to include, but not be limited to, program problems, maintenance issues, program success stories, etc.)- All other duties plexities of the positionMulti-level communications.- Manages all aspects of communications across multiple channels.- Oversees and consolidates information from multiple in-market sites.- Communicates mission, plans, activities and guidelines to BMG Field Staff.Position ProfileThe Events & Logistics Coordinator must know:- Relevant state, local, and national regulatory and legal guidelines concerning tobacco consumption.- Company guidelines on the marketing of NCAs to LANU consumers.- Effective communication techniques and appropriate time management principles.- Understanding of logistical operations.- Must have a current Commercial Driver License Class A.- Must possess a current DOT Medical Card issued by a Certified Medical Examiner.- Must be willing to submit for federally required random testing of Drivers for drug or alcohol use.- Drivers must be insurable at standard rates.- A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.- 5+ years' experience with driving larger assets preferred.- 3+ years' experience with experiential marketing andor mobile tours preferred.- Additional skills and experience in marketing, client interaction, or technical skills as well as military veterans with service in logistics and transportation support would be an added plus for consideration.- Ability to travel six to eight weeks outside of local market territory.Physical demands:- Hand-eye coordination. Driving a commercial motor vehicle requires the controlled use of multiple limbs on the basis of what a person observes. Federal regulations require drivers to have normal use of their arms and legs.- Hearing ability. Drivers need good hearing. Federal regulations require the ability to hear a forced whisper in one ear at five feet (with or without the use of a hearing aid).- Patience. Because of possible traffic congestion, Drivers are put in stressful situations and must be able to continue to calmly operate their CMV.- Physical health. Federal regulations do not allow people to become a Driver if they have a medical condition that may interfere with their operation of a CMV, such as high blood pressure or epilepsy.- Visual ability. Drivers must be able to pass vision tests.
