Position: Property AccountantLocation: Columbus, OhioCompensation: Starting salary at $65,000Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site Key Responsibilities: Manage Property Financials: Oversee all accounting functions for a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties. General Ledger: Accurately handle the general ledger for property-related transactions. Reconcile Accounts: Ensure timely and precise reconciliation of tenant, landlord, and property-specific accounts. Lease & Rent Roll Analysis: Manage rent rolls, oversee lease accounting, and assist with monthly rent calculations and payments. Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process for property accounts, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reported. Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed property-specific financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for senior management and stakeholders. Tax & Compliance: Assist with property tax compliance and collaborate with auditors during year-end audits. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in property management, real estate, or related industries. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with property management systems (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio) is a plus. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage complex accounts with accuracy. Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with property managers, tenants, and vendors. Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
