Cost Accountant - Large National Construction Company  Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 Location: Fully Onsite Industry: Construction Join a powerhouse in the construction industry! We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to optimize project profitability, track financial performance, and ensure cost efficiency. What You'll Do: ✅ Own the numbers - Analyze and track project costs, budgets, and financial performance to drive profitability.✅ Be the bridge - Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost reporting.✅ Forecast with confidence - Assist in job cost projections, variance analysis, and financial reporting.✅ Sharpen the bottom line - Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.✅ Stay compliant - Ensure adherence to GAAP, company policies, and industry regulations.✅ Support month-end & year-end close - Reconcile job cost accounts, prepare financial reports, and assist in audits. What You Bring:  Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA a plus!) 3+ years of cost accounting experience - ideally in the construction industry. Deep understanding of job costing, WIP reporting, and construction contracts. Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. Expert in Excel & ERP systems (experience with construction-specific software is a plus). Excellent communication & problem-solving skills - you can break down financial data for non-financial teams.
