Senior Accounting Analyst About the Company and the Senior Accounting Analyst Position: This publicly traded company, based in Cleveland, is looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst to join their dynamic finance team. The Senior Accounting Analyst will play a crucial role in financial reporting, analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities of the Senior Accounting Analyst: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP Support the SEC reporting process, including preparing 10-Q and 10-K filings Perform detailed financial analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement Ensure compliance with SOX controls and other regulatory requirements Work closely with external auditors and internal teams to facilitate the audit process Assist in the preparation of quarterly earnings calls and investor presentations Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries Review and analyze financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling Participate in internal control assessments and process improvement initiatives Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests from senior management Preferred Qualifications of the Senior Accounting Analyst: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to SEC reporting and public company accounting Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and SEC regulations Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, VLOOKUP) CPA or working toward CPA designation is preferred Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines Salary and Benefits: Location: Cleveland, Ohio Pay range: $85,000 to $105,000 (based on experience) Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans Opportunity to work with a highly respected, publicly traded company committed to innovation and employee development #SEC #10k #10q #reporting #accounting
