ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ACCOUNTANT About the Company and the Accounts Payable Position: Join this local, growing organization in the food service industry! Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their AP skills, gain exposure to accounting processes, and grow within a collaborative and supportive environment. You will report directly to the Controller and work closely with the team to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations. Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Accountant: Process and review accounts payable invoices, ensuring proper coding and documentation Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts for accuracy Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies in a timely manner Assist in the preparation of financial reports and month-end closing procedures Maintain and update accurate vendor records Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely payment processing Other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Accountant: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) 1 year of accounts payable experience Knowledge of basic accounting principles (GAAP) Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team This role is hybrid in Akron, with a range of $60,000 to $65,000 depending on experience.#accountspayable #payables #ap #growth #development#LI-MS8#ZRCFS#INMAR2025#LI-Onsite
