Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant who will play a pivotal role in the financial operations of a prestigious private nonprofit organization.About the Organization Seeking a Staff Accountant: Founded over 150 years ago, this NPO is world-famous and has been located in several areas of Boston before settling on their current location near Fenway Park They have over 100 programs and are continually aiming to diversify their offerings The team boasts longevity, with an Assistant Controller who has been with the organization for 16 years Open to new ideas and change, the accounting department is just as passionate about the organization's goals as the front-facing staff Hybrid work schedule with 3 daysweek in office Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant: Finalizing the general ledger for month-end close, overseeing the work of an Accounting Assistant Creating and preparing financial statements based on trial balance Balance sheet reconciliations Bank reconciliations Year-end audit preparations Background Expected of the Staff Accountant: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or experience equivalent 3+ years in a nonprofit accounting role or 2 years in public accounting #INMAR2025
