This role will be responsible for managing the flow of vendor invoices and ensuring accurate records of expenses and charges.Responsibilities Accounts Payable Specialist:Manage all aspects of accounts payableEnter invoices into the firm's accounting system and schedule paymentsIssue checks and process ACH or wire payments after securing approvalsHandle internal check requests, employee expense reports, and credit card statementsRespond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepanciesReconcile vendor statements with firm recordsDownload and process vendor invoices from online portals into the client accounting systemReview and process employee expense reportsSet up and maintain vendor accountsScan and upload payment backup to the document management systemAssist with annual 1099 reporting and month-end closingRequirements for Accounts Payable Specialist:3+ years of AP experience working in a Law Firm or Professional Services Experience requiredWorking experience with Aderant, Elite or 3E required Bachelor's degree preferred MS Office and knowledge of accounting softwareCompetency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and OutlookExcellent customer service and strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with vendors, clients and lawyers, staff and accounting department colleaguesWell organized and attention to details, Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
