King & Sykes is a values driven staffing firm founded to partner with investment banks, private equity & alternative asset investors who are at the forefront of sustainable investing, and their portfolio of companies.We're hiring Analyst and Associate level professionals to join a leading IPP in New York, NY to contribute to their strategy, analysis, new market identification, and support across all facets of its business. The firm is a prominent owner and operator of renewable energy projects across the United States, managing a substantial portfolio of clean energy initiatives.Responsibilities:Support the development of market strategy and new project origination through power market research and trend analysis. Conduct comprehensive analyses of electricity market fundamentals in various U.S. regions to pinpoint promising markets for renewable energy and energy storage. Research renewable energy demand opportunities with U.S. corporations and utilities. Perform routine and ad hoc competitive benchmarking and analysis. Provide direct support for merger and acquisition (M&A) processes and financial underwriting.Build and review financial models to guide management investment decisions, focusing on project returns, capital structure optimization, risk identification, and potential upside. Present analytical findings in a clear and concise manner. Support transaction leads in negotiating definitive documentation for debt and tax equity financings, acquisitions, and opportunistic sales across new and existing projects (in development, under construction, or operational).Requirements:2+ years of finance experience with direct exposure to alternative finance, corporate credit or equity, or structured productsStructuring and closing of sustainable infrastructure project finance transactionsPrior buyside experience or investment banking experience is strongly preferred
