Efforts include some of the largest transportation projects in the New York Metropolitan area such as the Raising of the Bayonne Bridge, Tappan Zee Hudson River Crossing, NJ Turnpike Widening, and Fulton Street Transit Center.Description: Reporting to the Senior Resident Engineer at Newark Airport's field office . The scope of work will be primarily involving airport and building concrete work, civil site inspection, paving, drainage systems, maintenance of traffic with some knowledge of MEP systems.Qualifications: Minimum 7+ years of experience or more inspecting civilstructural construction work, varied in size and complexity.Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringMinimum 7+ years of experience inspecting civilstructural construction workAirport construction experience would be desirableTrained in OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour construction safety; OSHA 30 certification requiredExcellent communication skills, particularly for writing daily narratives and reportsValid driver's license requiredAbility to obtain a high SWAC clearance and EWR SIDA cardNight and weekend shifts may possibly be required; as well, the ability to come in early or stay lateICCNICET Level 3 Asphalt or Highway construction desired; NOT requiredSpecial Inspector certifications in concrete, highway construction or Structural Masonry.Education: BSCE Civil or Structural Engineering
