Job Description: This is a multipurpose position in which duties range from carrying out basic patient care tasks as directed by a licensed therapist to overseeing a variety of operational activities for the department. As an Activities Coordinator at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by: Providing Patient Care: Planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operations of the department in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Assessing our residents and patients to determine their needs, preferences, abilities, and strengths. Developing individualized activity plans to promote social, cognitive, spiritual, and overall wellbeing of our patients and residents. Creating and promoting group activities to enhance the quality of life of those in our care by interacting with peers and multigenerational groups. Effective Communication: Communicating compassionately and effectively. Continually expanding your knowledge and developing staff reporting to you. Helping improve our facility and safety programs. Team Collaboration: Promoting the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health, and abiding by service behavior standards. Performing other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional who is licensed or registered by the state of Montana and eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional, a qualified Occupational therapist or OTA Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a social or recreational program within the past five (5) years, one (1) of which was in a health care setting Current, valid MT Driver's license and proof of insurability Physical Requirements: Carrying, Climbing, Crawling, Hearing/Listening, Lifting, Manual Dexterity, Pulling/Pushing, Seeing, Speaking, Squatting/Kneeling, Standing, Walking Location: Holy Rosary Hospital Work City: Miles City Work State: Montana Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 The hourly range for this position is listed below.
