IT Project Manager (Local in Wisconsin only)

On-Demand Group is currently seeking for an IT Project Manager for a 12 months contract engagement.Title: IT Project ManagerDuration: 12 months, Contract-to-hireLocation: Hybrid in Madison, WI Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or 4+ years professional work experience.4+ years' experience in information technology development with exposure to all phases of at least one life cycle process model.Desirable Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with STEM focus preferred.Knowledge of software development methodologies, practices, and tools.Knowledge of project management methodologies, practices, and tools.Knowledge of problem solving techniques and tools.Ability to travel as needed for company business and professional development.Ability to work nights and weekends as needed for system implementations and resolving system problems.Knowledge of team leadership skills, practices, and behaviors.Knowledge of system testing practices and tools.Knowledge of techniques for vendor product solicitation, evaluation, and selection.Knowledge of effective writing and public speaking skills. Ability to convey complex information to general audiences.Knowledge of various project management tools to develop a comprehensive project work plan such as Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS), cash flow analysis, Gantt and network diagrams, and resource schedules.Knowledge of techniques such as the Critical Path Method (CPM) to assess and report on risks in project schedule; knowledge of corrective action steps to reduce risks and mitigate problems.Knowledge of System Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Waterfall, Rapid Application Development, or Agile SCRUM.Knowledge of techniques to establish business relationships with outside vendors.Knowledge of techniques and models for initiating and promoting change (e.g. organizational, process, policy.)Knowledge of quality management and quality improvement practices.Knowledge of techniques for writing and presenting business proposals to management.Responsibilities:Manage resources and activities to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget while delighting our customers. Identify project risks and set timelines to meet customer expectations. 50%Lead and meet with project team to review scope of work and create project plan. Schedule recurring internal and customer facing meetings as needed during project implementation to review and monitor project goals and status. Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Facilities groups to ensure an accurate and efficient process. 20%Maintain documents critical to project implementation. Track project implementation and provide status updates using MS Project. 20%Identify changes to initial SOW and work with customer and VISI operations to implement proper change management processes. Integrate customer's business requirements into VISI's operational framework. 10%The projected hourly range for this position is $60 to $70.
