Maintenance Engineer

We are currently searching for a Maintenance & Service Engineer with experience in the material handling industry. This is a direct hire opportunity for our customer in the Evansville, IN area.You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain products and equipment by performing electrical, electronic, and mechanical repairs; identifying, analyzing, and repairing product failures, and ordering & replacing parts as needed. You should be familiar with various material handling systems which include conveyors, transfers, part carriers, and other automation-type equipment.Other ResponsibilitiesObserve the equipment in operation; listen for problems; execute various test cycle operations, and use precision measuring and testing instrumentsComplete preventive maintenance requirements on equipment, following site-specific procedures & operationsmaintenance manualsInterpret engineering drawings and assist site installation crews as necessary throughout the installation phase of a project through customer final acceptancePerform Engineering studies to develop reliable and optimum solutions based on customer requirementsMust be available to work weekends, nights, overtime, and holidays, as neededMust be flexible as the position may require traveling to any of our job sites within the US, Canada, or MexicoMust be able to negotiate through an industrial conveyor system requiring climbing access ladders, scaffolding, screen guards, etcPhysically capable of standing andor walking for long periods of time.The ability to lift 25-50 lbsQualifications:Requires debugging skills during the commissioning of new equipment andor modifications to existing equipmentStrong PLC programming skills (Allen Bradley or Siemens) in a hands-on field construction environment are desirableProficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and general computer skillsAutoCAD, Inventor, or other 3D modeling software (minimum 2 years experience)Education and ExperienceBS technical degree in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronic engineering1+ years' experience in material handling and conveyor engineering for the automotive industry or another manufacturing industry is desirable
