We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5+ years of experience. The engineer must be able to produce documents in Revit experience is a plus but not mandatory AutoCAD is a must.Market sector experience in K-12 Schools, Higher Ed, Commercial, and Healthcare is desireExperience in design of power and lighting systems for buildings. Ability to work well with others within and outside the company.DescriptionA Staff role is a designer with a strong foundation of design. This person should be able to take on independent tasks for design up to full design of small projects to be reviewed by others. This person still takes direction for most tasks and works closely with the Project Manager and Lead role.TYPICAL DUTIESDevelop, maintain, and master a knowledge of design and CAD applicationsDevelop and maintain an understanding of the construction processAssist in the development of Schematic Design information, such as equipment selections, room sizes, space requirements, and assist in writing a scope narrativeResearch equipment, assist in making selections, and complete equipment schedulesResearch design options and document findings for the project teamIncorporate design concepts from Schematic Design into Design DevelopmentWork to produce Construction DocumentsDocument existing conditionsLay out portions of the mechanical or electrical systems for the projectAssist in the production of calculations such as energy calculations, technology systems capacities, lighting and power distribution calculations and equipment sizingProvide drafting and documentation for projects, including implementing sketches and design concepts from othersEncourage to try solving engineering solutions with the project team using experience, judgment and educationAssist in the coordination of ceiling, wall clearances, and structural impacts with design team and other design professionalsAssist in the drafting of specialized diagrams such as plumbing isometrics or electrical risersAssist in gathering specification sections, and providing project specific information for specificationsSelect and modify details with guidance from the Project Team that will be used on projectsAssist in value engineering, by providing input on opportunities for cost reductionsReview shop drawings and coordinate with project team for further reviewAssist in responding to construction Requests for Information (RFI)RequirementsRESPONSIBILITY TO OTHERSAble to make design decisions on specific design tasks assigned by the Lead or Project ManagerWork to make decisions on design aspects of a project with the Project TeamResponsible to notify the Project Manager of any major changes in project scopeResponsible to coordinate design work with other internal disciplinesSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE4+ years experienceProficient in the use of current technology, including hardware and software applicationsGeneral knowledge of mechanical or electrical systemsIn return you will enjoy a wide range of benefits and perks that support your health and wealth, including:Amazing coworkersGreat medical benefitsDental & Vision benefits401(k) with generous employer matchPTOEmployer paid short and long term disabilityFlexible work options
