Valet Attendant

Position Description: Department: GolfReports to: Head ProfessionalEmployment Dates: Approx. May - December (flexible) with the possibility of future seasonal work.Job Summary: The Seawane Club in Hewlett, NY, seeks outside service valet staff to assist club operations by creating an excellent experience for members and guests. This includes greeting guests upon arrival, providing customer service by parking and retrieving vehicles, answering questions, and loading and unloading golf bags where appropriate. This job requires a strong work ethic and an attitude that exudes positive energy and enthusiasm to enhance the customer experience. Some manual labor and lifting golf bags are needed. Golf knowledge is a plus but not required.Essential Responsibilities:Greet and welcome members and guests to the club and offer professional valet servicesAccommodate members and guests by opening doors and assisting with golf clubs or other heavy itemsDirect traffic in the parking area as needed and assist guests in entering and leaving the parking lotAnswer questions regarding golf, food and beverage, directions, and other club amenities and servicesCollect and accurately label keys belonging to customers to ensure their proper returnPark member's and guests' vehicles in predetermined areas within the parking lot, following all traffic lawsOperate vehicles safely and responsibilityCoordinate and communicate effectively with the golf team, clubhouse team, and receptionist when appropriateJob Requirements:Demonstrate high levels of Professionalism and LeadershipEngaging personality who will take the initiative to learn and growMust possess a positive attitude and can work with a variety of people and collaborate with coworkers efficiently and effectivelyMust be detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities and multiple customers in a fast-paced environmentCandidates MUST have reliable transportation and be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand on their feet for long periodsReport to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and complying with the Company Dress Code PolicyProven safe driver and clean driving records are essentialValid personal car insurance is requiredAbility to communicate professionallyAccountability and personal integrity are essential as the nature of the position allows access to a customer's personal and private informationExperience driving vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissionOrganizational skills are necessary to recall the location of vehicles and their appropriate keys quicklyBenefits: Competitive Hourly Wage ($16.50- $18.00) plus any tipsFlexible scheduling with afternoons, evenings, and weekends availableMeals when the kitchen is open while on dutyUniform shirt and hat providedGolf playing privilegesDiscount on golf shop itemsPossible integration into other departments for work if desiredHow to Apply:If you are a collaborative individual excited about delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences, we invite you to apply for this position.
