Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with a company in Arlington, VA to bring a Senior Tax Manager to their team. This role will be on a hybrid schedule with 4 days on-site and 1 day remote. The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance, reporting, and strategy across multiple jurisdictions. This role requires a deep understanding of tax regulations, a proactive approach to identifying tax planning opportunities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The Senior Tax Manager will work closely with senior leadership and external advisors to ensure tax compliance, mitigate risk, and optimize the company's tax position.Key Responsibilities:Tax Compliance & Reporting:Lead the preparation and review of the company's federal, state, and international tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with all tax regulations.Oversee and coordinate the preparation of income, sales & use, and other indirect tax returns.Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision calculations and financial reporting in accordance with ASC 740.Manage the relationship with external auditors and tax advisors, providing necessary documentation and support during audits and reviews.Tax Planning & Strategy:Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and enhance cash flow for the company, with a focus on international tax, R&D credits, and other tax incentives specific to the media industry.Evaluate the tax impact of business decisions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and new business initiatives.Keep up to date with tax law changes and assess their impact on the company, advising management on potential changes in strategy.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with the finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure tax-efficient structures and solutions for ongoing projects.Provide support for ad hoc financial and strategic projects as they arise, including managing the tax implications of new business models or content distribution channels.Foster relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and government agencies to address any tax issues or queries.Leadership & Development:Mentor and develop junior tax staff, providing guidance and technical expertise on tax compliance, planning, and reporting.Drive process improvements within the tax function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities andor protected veterans are encouraged to apply.California residents: Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.If you would like to complete our voluntary self-identification form, please click here or copy and paste the following link into an open window in your browser: of this form is voluntary and will not affect your opportunity for employment, or the terms or conditions of your employment.
