Payroll Manager About the Role: CFS is working with a local employer seeking a Payroll Manager to join their team. This key role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with all relevant labor laws, and managing a small payroll team. Employee reviews boast about the good company culture, working in a fun industry, and nice company discountsperks! Key Responsibilities: Manage full payroll cycle processing. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, and workers' compensation. Process garnishments, levies, and other legal deductions accurately and timely. Prepare and file all required payroll tax reports, including federal, state, and local filings. Manages a team of two and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination Foster a positive and inclusive work environment. Prepare and distribute pay period, monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Collaborate with the payroll and retirement service provider to ensure accurate and timely retirement plan reporting, adhering to all plan provisions and regulatory requirements. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll processing, including experience with multi-state payroll. Minimum 3 years of experience in a management role. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., ADP). Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Union payroll experience is a plus. CPP certification is a plus. Location: Wilsonville, OR - Hybrid, onsite 4 days per weekSalary: $105,000 - 120,000 Timing is everything.
