Assistant Controller Job Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join their dynamic and growing team and help with overseeing the General Ledger (GL) team. They are an international organization, with locations in the US and UK, and the client offers a hybrid work schedule - 2 days from home and 3 days out of their corporate office in Stamford, CT. This role is critical to our client's financial management and reporting processes, created as a result of our ongoing growth and expansion. Position Details Location: Stamford, CT Employment Type: Full-Time hybrid work schedule Compensation: $150,000-$170,000 depending on experience Key Responsibilities: Work with the Controller to lead the preparation of financial results and other reporting for operating hotels on a monthly basis, adhering to third-party owner contractual deadlines Identification and monitoring of key performance statisticsratios with analysis on significant variances on a monthly basis Researching and documenting explanations for variances in monthly financial reports Assist with the preparation of hotel operations forecasts and cash flow forecasts on a monthly andor quarterly basis Assist with the annual preparation of budgets for hotel, restaurant and club operations, including compiling inputs from senior operations leadership, consolidationroll-ups, reviews and adjustments, reporting system uploading Prepare and file monthly and quarterly financial reports Provide direct oversight of the General Ledger (GL) team Provide leadership and management guidance to accounting team members Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Proven management experience in an accounting environment Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. CPA is a plus. Advanced knowledge of tax regulations and reporting requirements.
