This Controllership role will supervise two degreed staff. The staff accountant handles AP and AR. The Accounting Manager works more on the GL. The organization you will join is a well-funded entity in a Walk-to-train location. Key Responsibilities of the Controller : Drive the month-end close and financial reporting process booking accruals and reviewing all entries by the Accounting Manager and Staff Accountant Complete quarterly public reporting package Insure accuracy and integrity of financial results through maintenance of appropriate processespolicies SOX Controls Responsible for managing APAR Process and achieving DSO targets Manage Payroll, 401k funding and sales and use tax Forecast sales, manufacturing variances, operating expenses and balance sheet line items monthly Prepare fixed asset purchase analyses and maintain integrity of fixed asset records Coordinate and develop the annual budget including the income statement, balance sheet and free cash flow Interactsupport sales team, marketing and manufacturing teams Manage accounting functions, recruit, hire and train team as they grow Prepare for Senior Management team quarterly analyst callspresentations Successful candidate will possess: BS in Accounting, CPA req'd, MBA preferred Recent accountingfinance experience in the pharmaceutical industry Public Reporting experience 10 years accountingfinance experience Implementation experience with financeaccounting software packages Experience in tax and treasury Experience insuring Sarbanes-Oxley compliance Previous supervisory experience Strong analytical and technical skills Solid communication and presentation skills Established in 2009, the client is a clinical development stage biopharmaceutical company addressing the growing need for new therapeutics to treat infectious diseases.
