Job Title: Accounting ManagerSalary: $104,000-$130,000 Location: Washington, DC (Onsite in office, then Hybrid after 90 days of employment) About the Opportunity: Our client, a reputable non-profit organization with $60+ million in annual revenue, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Accounting Manager to join their team. Position Overview: As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee and manage the organization's accounting operations and federal funds, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and contributing to their mission-driven goals. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance. Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage the month-end and year-end close processes. Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts. Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth and development. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting CPA designation is a plus Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management role Non-profit andor Government accounting experience preferred Project accounting experience is preferred Proficiency in accounting software Deltek CostPoint highly preferred, and strong Excel skills.
