This program requires US CitizenshipThe Banner Project Manager leads and manages projects related to the implementation, upgrade, and enhancement of the Ellucian Banner ERP system. This individual collaborates with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and IT professionals to ensure successful project execution while aligning with institutional goals. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee Banner ERP projects from initiation to completion. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery. Utilize project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall. Work closely with academic departments, IT, finance, HR, and student services to define project objectives. Facilitate communication between technical teams, vendors, and institutional leadership. Conduct status meetings, risk assessments, and project reporting. Oversee the implementation, upgrade, integration, or optimization of the Banner ERP system. Collaborate with Ellucian consultants, IT teams, and database administrators to ensure system stability and efficiency. Ensure proper data migration, reporting, and compliance with higher education regulations (FERPA, GDPR, etc.). Identify opportunities for automation, workflow optimization, and system enhancements. Work with IT teams to improve data integrity, security, and system performance. Assist in training end-users and creating documentation for Banner processes. Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (Master's preferred). 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in higher education IT. Proven experience managing Ellucian Banner projects (implementation, upgrade, or customization). Familiarity with SQL, Oracle databases, and system integrations is a plus. Strong leadership & communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with ERP project management in a higher education setting. Knowledge of student information systems (SIS), financial aid, HR, and finance modules within Banner. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and handle shifting deadlines. Proficiency with project management tools like Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.
