Audit Manager, CPA Location: RemoteJob Type: Full-Time About Us We are a local CPA firm with more than 40 years of experience specializing in the healthcare facility sector and serving a national client base. We annually serve a diverse range of healthcare facilities, including: skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living, CCRC, home health, hospice, low-income housing industries and specialty hospitals. We're looking for a motivated and experienced licensed Audit Manager who is eager to take the next step in their career. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee financial statement audits and other assurance services under GAAS. Conduct fieldwork and compliance testing on HUD and other audits under GAGAS. Manage and execute annual employee benefit plan audits, including fieldwork and financial statement preparation. Supervise, review, and mentor staff auditors, fostering professional development. Develop an understanding of our client's business, accounting and control systems, and industry-related GAAP and GAAS issues Prepare GAAP financial statements with full footnote disclosures. Review and ensure the accuracy of GAAP financial statements. Research accounting and auditing developments to better serve our clients, and research technical issues that arise during the course of audit engagements. Communicate effectively with clients, providing insights and recommendations. Qualifications & Requirements Strong understanding of GAAP, including the preparation of financial statements with full footnote disclosures. Experience preparing and reviewing workpapers and financial statements with high attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership and team collaboration skills. Willingness to travel out of town up to 6 weeks per year, and locally throughout the year. Education & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of recent public accounting auditing experience (10+ preferred). Active CPA license (required). Experience in healthcare industry, performing Housing and Urban Development (HUD) audits or employee benefit plan audits is preferred, but not required. Experience using Engagement Manager Guided Assurance and Checkpoint research tools is a bonus. What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience.
