Job Title: Information System Security Officer -5511 Job Location: Huntsville, AL 35898 Job Salary: $160,000-$175,000 Job Summary Galapagos Federal Systems LLC seeks a highly motivated and qualified Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support United States Space Force (USSF) operations. This position offers an opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team dedicated to mission success, collaborating with key partners, including Combatant Commands and other military branches. As an ISSO, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of automated information systems (AIS), system data, and other critical resources. You will guide and assist in applying IT security controls to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of these systems. Your solutions must align with system and network configurations and be approved by configuration managers. ISSO Key Responsibilities: Lead the Risk Management Framework (RMF) approval process, ensuring compliance with DoD security policies. Oversee system sustainment and lifecycle management, including continuous monitoring, change processes, and maintenance approvals. Work closely with Certified Defense Contractors to ensure compliance with security requirements and best practices. Maintain organizational networks, including account management, auditing, vulnerability scanning, and other ISSO-related duties. Serve as a cybersecurity subject matter expert (SME) and trusted advisor to civilian and military personnel, as well as senior leadership. Support and facilitate government inspections and audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
