Controller Key Responsibilities Client Service & Advisory Manage clients' accounting and financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of deliverables. Provide technical accounting guidance and advisory assistance to both clients and internal teams. Oversee the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other client-specific tasks while maintaining proactive communication with internal or client CFOs. Advise clients on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational strategies. Present financial reports to clients, including industry-specific benchmarking and KPI analysis. Serve as the primary liaison for clients, managing relationships with tax, legal, banking, and other professional service providers. Oversee analysis and reporting for banking covenants and other regulatory compliance requirements. Team Management & Leadership Lead, coach, and mentor a team of accounting and financial professionals. Provide performance management, feedback, and professional development opportunities to team members. Facilitate internal training initiatives and participate in special projects. Assist with recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent. Actively manage engagement economics, including budget preparation and billing cycle oversight. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve internal and external workflows, enhancing efficiency and accuracy. Drive implementation of best practices to optimize financial processes and client service delivery. Controller Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or CMA certification preferred. Extensive experience in accounting, financial reporting, and advisory services. Proficiency in US GAAP and familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements.
