Since 1969, we've led the industry in developing innovative technologies for recycling scrap into high-quality steels that are all around us, from bridges and buildings to cars and appliances.Basic Job Functions: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, tax, financial and compliance reporting, monthly balancing, inventory management, and timely reporting. Project Revenue Recognition and Cost Recognition, Department Cost Management Analysis, Standard JE's, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Inventory Analysis - (Costing, Zero Cost Items, Consumption Issues, Zero Quantities with Costs), Tax Reconciliations, Investigate Tax Notices, Corporate Reporting - Tax Schedules, Audit Requests, Review and Understand Production Work Order Process, Accounts Payable Support, Capital Spend and Fixed Asset Management and Reconciliation, and other ad-hoc reports. This position reports directly to the Controller. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Minimum of 3 years of accountingfinance experience Preferred Qualifications: CPA andor MBA preferred Manufacturing experience Leadershipsupervisory experience
