A major client of ours is seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Litigation Legal Assistant for a law firm located in Uniondale, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and a demonstrated ability to support with precision and efficiency. This is a Hybrid position!Key Responsibilities: Support attorneys in client communication, and assist in creating, formatting, and revising legal documents. Perform straight typing and proofreading of documents to ensure accuracy. Utilize Firm Macros to streamline document preparation. Prepare pleadings and ensure compliance with legal requirements. Convert documents from PDF to Word format as necessary. Manage Winscribe transcription tasks. Apply Kofax PDF functions for document editing and enhancement. Scan, email, and organize legal documents efficiently. Track attorney time using iTimekeep software. Prepare and submit expense and reimbursement reports through Chrome River. Electronically file court documents via NYSCEF and CMECF platforms. Coordinate and schedule Zoom meetings and conferences for attorneys and clients. Submit vendor invoices for payment processing.
