It leans more toward a Project Analyst or Project Coordinator position with a strong focus on IT-specific tasks. Project analyst will use their analytical skills and expertise in project management, IT software management, license management, IT procurement and finance, and service delivery to support the successful completion of two application migration projects. IT Project Analyst role will have the following duties and responsibilities: Assist in the development and design of project workflow and processes Analyze and evaluate project data and metrics to track and report project progress Assist in coordinating the efforts of various team members to allow for the successful completion of projects Coordinate the completion of all stages of application migration from discovery and procurement to end-user communication Job skills required Excellent data management and analytical skills, and problem solving Ability to research, work with others to find data where gaps exist Excellent communication skills Experience in project management Knowledge of IT software management, license management, procurement, finance and service delivery Fluent in O365 products Smartsheet experience a plus Focus on candidates with analytical and operational IT project experience, not necessarily full-cycle PM expertise. Key traits to prioritize: 1. Core Competencies Data Analysis: Look for experience with metrics, dashboards, or tools like Excel, Power BI, or Smartsheet. IT-Specific Knowledge: Softwarelicense management (e.g., tracking renewals, compliance). IT procurementfinance processes (budget tracking, vendor coordination). Application migration or IT service delivery experience. Coordination Skills: Experience working with cross-functional teams (developers, vendors, finance) without necessarily leading them 2. Project Experience Keywords: project support, migration coordination, process improvement, data gap analysis. Look for roles like Project Analyst who have performed these roles accordingly. If you do bump into PMs, we are probably speaking with overkill, but don't rule out; listen to what they have done. 3. Tools and Certifications Certifications like CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) or ITIL Foundation are more relevant than PMP for this role. Required: Proficiency in O365 (Teams, SharePoint, Excel). Nice-to-Have: Smartsheet, Jira, ServiceNow, or ITIL certifications.
