Job Description: Staff Accountant - Nonprofit Organization Position Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our nonprofit team. This role supports the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting and bookkeeping. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate general ledger records, including journal entries and account reconciliations Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenditures against budgets Month-end close support Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and controls Qualifications: Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities Effective communication and teamwork skills
