Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager As the Accounting Manager, you will: Lead General Ledger Accounting Activities: Ensure financial accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP, internal policies, and statutory requirements. Mentor and Supervise Staff: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, approve journal entries, and certify balance sheet reconciliations. Ensure SOX Compliance: Develop and maintain accurate documentation and controls, ensuring company-wide adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Drive Financial Close Processes: Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, producing accurate and timely financial statements. Provide Insights and Leadership: Deliver meaningful commentary on financial results, trends, and variances while continuously improving processes. Support Audits and Budgeting: Coordinate external audits, assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow projections. Document and Improve Processes: Develop and refine accounting workflows, policies, and internal controls. Collaborate Across Teams: Communicate effectively with various departments to resolve accounting issues and drive strategic initiatives. What You Bring to the Table The ideal Accounting Manager will possess: Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA Certification: This is mandatory for consideration. Experience: Minimum 8 years of broad accounting experience. Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills are required, and experience with NetSuite is a plus! Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership abilities, and a proven track record of managing teams and delivering results.
