Collections Specialist - Metro Accessible MD

Collections SpecialistAbout the Company and Opportunity: Our client is an organization in the Bethesda area with over 50 years in the business of helping their customers in the service industry. Due to an vacancy, they are looking to bring on a Collections Specialist. 100% onsite. The position is temporary, but for the right candidate can turn permanent. Pay: $27-29 hr depending on experience. Up to $60,000 annually. Metro Accessible. Schedule is Monday - Friday 8:30a-5:00p. Some of the employee reviews, include things like: "Fast paced. Overview of the Collections role: Business to Business Collections- mostly email contact with customers; statement letters sent electronically via email. There will be times when the person will want to get on the phone with the customer to clarify details with the customer. Will apply cash receipts to invoices that have been paid. Will assist with getting invoices out to customers, especially those that use a portal or other billing method and not a mailed invoice Unapplied payments Additional projects, as requested Preferred Qualifications for the Collections: 2-5+ years of collections experience Basic to intermediate Excel skills LawsonAS400 experience is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skill
