gpac is working with a client company in New York that is seeking a Controller for their rapidly growing company! In order to be considered you must have recent experience in a manufacturing environment! This is an on-site position, with no hybrid option! Relocation assistance will be provided for the right candidate! This position is with a successful company that produces high-quality sliced meat for one of America's largest big-box stores. They're thriving, even post-COVID, and have expanded to two facilities already running 247, with a third on the way! The company's resilience in a recession-proof industry means they're strong, stable, and primed for continued growth.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesUtilize data analysis tools and techniques to assess plant performance, identify areas for improvement, and optimize efficiency strategies.Perform financial modeling by analyzing large data sets and deliver business insights and recommendations for leadership.Prepare, analyze, and present accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analysis.Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain annual budgets and financial forecasts, collaborating with department heads to ensure alignment with business objectives.Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including cost analysis, pricing strategies, and ROI assessments, to support decision-making and improve profitability.Recommend pricing changes based on ongoing data analysis and review key customer pricing changes with executive leadership team.Partner with the organization to provide costingmargin perspective for appropriate pricing decisions.Provide insights on achievement of plant key performance metrics with a strong focus on cost reduction and improved operating efficiencies.Provide analytical support with respect to projects including capital appropriations- new product development- and plant utilizationcapacityasset management issues.Audit support and Ad-hoc as needed.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications5 years' strong financial analysis, cost accounting, or general accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is a must.Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.Master of Business Administration preferred.Critical customer facing role, must be able to establish positive working relationships, understanding customer needs and provide deliverables.Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple priorities and strong attention to puter skills including MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel PowerPoint.Experience in implementation of a new ERP system.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbalwritten) effectively both internally and externally.Self-motivated and strong analytical problem solving skills.Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas.Critical thinking with the ability to recommend changes.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.Must demonstrate the highest standards of personal and professional integrity and character and promote ethical business behavior throughout the organization. If you're interested and serious, please send your confidential resume to Brittany at for immediate consideration! Keywords: Accounting Manager, Controller, cost accounting, financial analysis, general accounting, finance, manufacturing All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.GPAC (Growing People and Companies) is an award-winning search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States since 1990.
