Mortgage Loan Officer Position Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and driven Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for building banking relationships that align with lending guidelines, ensure a fair return for the Bank, and minimize risk. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers, supporting the Bank's sales function with enthusiasm. Consult with customers and assist them in completing loan applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory and Bank policy guidelines. Analyze, underwrite, document, and make decisions on consumer loan requests within the Bank's established lending limits and policy guidelines. Take responsibility for the collection of originated loans, ensuring proper follow-through. Contribute to the growth and profitability of deposit and consumer loan sales at the location. Represent and promote the Bank at community events, fostering relationships and generating referrals through civic involvement, volunteering, and networking. Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Assist employees with questions related to internal bank operations, ensuring clarity and smooth processes. Stay current with industry knowledge and pursue professional development opportunities through internal and external training. Perform any other tasks necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position, maintaining a proactive approach to customer service and Bank success. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bachelor's degree and at least five years of banking or related experience. Strong planning and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Professional demeanor, strong sales orientation, and the ability to build long-term relationships with customers.
